About Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a student-led, collaborative project between Newcastle University Library’s Education Outreach and Academic Skills teams, whereby we’re creating a collection of online study skills resources for A-Level and Stage 1 Undergraduate students that build student knowledge, skills, confidence and independence, all directed by student input.
Due to the success of our pilot project in the 2021-22 academic year, Newcastle University Library have received further funding to continue to develop resources to support A-Level and Stage 1 Undergraduate students with our Digital Library Service and Learning and Teaching Development Service, which will be launched in August 2024. We are also pleased to be supported by an Advisory Group, which includes the university’s Student Wellbeing team, A-Level teachers, librarians and academics among others.
Pilot Resources
These resources were created in the 2021-22 academic year.
Continued Development
These resources were created in the 2022-23 academic year and are currently being tested in A-Level and Undergraduate student workshops. We will use this feedback to make amends before the official launch of the resources.
